Dear Parent,
Thank you for visiting my website. I took the time to create this page because I knew you, as a parent, would want to read about the person to whom you’re considering entrusting your teen’s heart and mind. I take this responsibility very seriously.
Let me tell you a bit about the choices I have made in my writing.
I choose to write reality, yet I try to approach the questionable and controversial areas of reality as carefully and respectfully as I can. I do this not just because I value the conservative beliefs of many of my readers, but also because I share those beliefs.
I write both Christian and non-Christian characters, and in attempting to maintain realism and truth, my non-Christian characters do, on occasion, drink, swear (I do not, however, include swearing), and at times act like non-Christians. In fact, in holding to reality, even some of my Christian characters occasionally do and say things not in keeping with their Christianity. Because this is the truth of reality. We are not perfect people; however, as Christians we should be striving to live faithfully in Christ.
My goals for my writing:
I want to challenge teens by writing to remind them there are good and bad consequences to life’s choices.
I want to encourage them that loving God, accepting His sacrifice, pursing His heart, sharing His Word, and choosing behavior aligned with His ways are the best choices a person can make.
I want to communicate to teens that doing what’s right is right and honors God regardless of the consequences, and that doing what’s wrong is wrong no matter the circumstances.
I want to urge teens that, as a young person living for Christ, they can make a difference in this world.
